QUINCY, CA, (September 9, 2024) – Plumas District Hospital will continue to offer its annual Low-Cost Health Screenings during the first two full weeks of October. Potential participants are encouraged to take special note of four primary points:

1) Appointments are necessary. Appointment scheduling opens on Monday, September 30th. Call 530-283-2121, and press *Star* to schedule.

2) Lab draws will take place in the North Fork Clinic Building.

3) Appointments will be available in the mornings, Monday – Thursday, 6:30AM – 8AM, beginning Monday, October 7th and will run until Thursday, October 17th.

4) Walk-ins will not be accepted.

In line with past years, the health care package will cost $75, and payable by cash or check on the day of the event.

Insurance will not be billed. Testing includes: Complete Blood Count, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, and Lipid Panel.

For an additional charge of $25 each, Vitamin D screening, Hemoglobin A1C for diabetes screening, and prostate cancer screenings (PSA) will be available.

Participants will receive results through their patient portal, accessible from http://hju7.shengmeiting.net/patients/healthelife. Participants who do not have a PDH patient portal account will be issued an invitation on the day of their appointment.

Participants must not eat for 12 hours prior to the blood draw. Continue normal intake of water and take any medication as usual.
